The Dallas Council of Engineering Companies (DCEC) comprises leaders from more than 100 of the most prominent consulting engineering firms representing more than 5,000 engineers in the Dallas area. Founded in 1954, the DCEC works hard to build leaders, strengthen business practices, and promote our industry. By joining DCEC, our member firms and their employees invest in the vitality of the consulting engineer profession. Member companies are entitled to participate in a wide range of activities and groups that lead to new contacts, innovative ideas and business development opportunities that will increase market share and limit liabilities.

Texas Council of Engineering Companies (TCEC)

Established in 1966, the Texas Council of Engineering Companies, Inc. is the only statewide organization committed to the business of consulting engineering. Consulting Engineers’ specialties encompass the spectrum of engineering technology. The TCEC is devoted to the advancement of the practice of consulting engineering, to the promotion of private enterprise, protection of public welfare, and to the improvement of the economic status of professional engineers engaged in the practice of consulting engineering. The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)

ACEC is the largest national organization of engineers engaged in the practice of consulting engineering. The goals of ACEC are to help its members:

· achieve higher professional and business standards for consulting engineers;

· ensure that ethical standards are maintained;

· Act as an information clearinghouse for the profession;

· Advise on enactment of national, state and local legislation affecting members’ interest;

· Support and assist the advancement of science and practice of engineering
